Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Shop Technician to perform precise repairs on heavy machinery components in our Las Vegas workshop.

You will work under strict safety and quality standards to maximize uptime and minimize rework, contributing to a world-class maintenance operation. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, collaboration with teammates, and rigorous adherence to repair timelines and Komatsu job standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; an Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or a related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair, maintenance, or related technical field.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including shifts, weekends, and potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned repair tasks efficiently, meeting or exceeding flat rate times and minimizing re-do work.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to foster a safe workplace for all team members.
• Accurately complete documentation including work orders, parts orders, JSA, and data systems.
• Enforce environmental, contamination, and HAZMAT guidelines to ensure compliance.
• Disassemble, install, test, and adjust machine parts with minimal supervision for quality.
• Provide precise quotations and pricing estimates for repairs.
• Diagnose/mechanically troubleshoot failures using advanced diagnostic tools and knowledge.
• Conduct thorough testing to verify repairs before job closure.
• Apply failure analysis methods to determine root causes and effective repairs.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to communicate progress and best practices.
