Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate bulldozers, graders, excavators, backhoes and more to support landfill and site development projects. You will perform inspections, routine maintenance, and on-site roll-off work while upholding safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, plus the ability to pass written and operational tests for each machine, and hazardous waste training within six months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, and loaders.
• Must pass written and operational tests for each machine.
• Hazardous waste management training within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely to spread, compact, and load MSW or recyclables.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and routine equipment maintenance.
• Assist with earth moving, site development, and related tasks as needed.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
