Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate bulldozers, graders, excavators, backhoes, and related machinery on our MSW and recycling sites in Cincinnati. The role requires adherence to safety, inspections, and routine maintenance.

You will work nights/weekends as needed, pass pre-employment tests, and read/speak English; a valid driver's license is required. Three years of experience preferred, with training on various landfill equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient on heavy equipment and able to operate multiple machines safely.
• Must possess good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with others.
• Must read and speak English well enough to understand directions and safety training.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, graders, excavators, backhoes, loaders and other equipment safely.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as lubrication, fueling and cleaning.
• Interact professionally with customers and worksite personnel.
• Adhere to all regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
