Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate equipment for MSW and recycling tasks. You will inspect, maintain, and operate machines, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements on-site.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, passing equipment certifications, and completing hazardous waste training within six months. Expect physical demands, flexible hours, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment such as excavator, backhoe, dozer, or similar.
• Must pass a written and operational test to be certified to operate each piece of heavy equipment.
• Hazardous waste management training must be completed within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely to perform spreading, compaction, or loading of MSW or recyclables.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required paperwork.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, fueling, and cleaning.
• Interact professionally with customers and site personnel.
• Adhere to all regulations, safety policies, and company guidelines.
