Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, and loaders. You will perform inspections, routine maintenance, and assist with site preparation and waste handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience operating heavy equipment.
• Must pass written and operational tests for each piece of equipment.
• Hazardous waste training within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely including bulldozers, graders, excavators, backhoes and loaders.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, fueling and cleaning.
• Move and place waste materials as required and coordinate site tasks.
• Interact with internal and external customers and ensure safety protocols.
• Work nights or weekends as needed and travel between sites.
