Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate heavy equipment and remove branches from electrical lines. The role emphasizes safe operation, daily maintenance, and collaboration under the Foreperson’s direction.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, assisting crew, setting up safety barriers, tracking mileage, and supporting storm restoration work, with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable about daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment.
• Able to climb into and around mobile equipment with good balance.
• Able to work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and CDL if required for driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to remove branches and material from lines as directed.
• Prepare equipment and materials for daily work per Foreperson guidance.
• Assist crew, maintain equipment, and report mileage to Foreperson.
• Set up barriers, signs, and markers to protect workers and the public.
• Support storm work and comply with safety and E-Verify requirements.
