Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services in Tennessee is seeking an Equipment Operator to manage heavy equipment for removing branches and tree material from electrical lines. You will follow Foreperson direction, perform daily maintenance, and support crew safety and efficiency on site.

Candidates should have high school diploma or equivalent and prior heavy equipment experience in related fields.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
• Prior heavy equipment operating experience in utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for daily work.
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Support crew and take a leadership role when required.
• Set up barriers, warning signs, and markers to protect employees and the public.
• Track and report mileage to Foreperson.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
• Comply with safety practices and company policies.
