Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to operate various heavy equipment for road maintenance and construction projects. The role involves loading, grading, trenching, and ensuring proper lubrication and fluid levels, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Candidates should be able to work outdoors in all weather, meet physical requirements, and operate tools and machinery as needed on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment to maintain and repair roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Ensure fluid levels and lubrication of equipment are maintained.
