Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks skilled operators for power construction equipment to excavate, move and grade materials. Responsibilities include loading, grading, trenching, and equipment inspections, with focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment to maintain roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; grade roads and spread gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts, water and sewer pipes.
• Check and maintain fluid levels and lubrication.
• Instruct and train employees on safe operation of equipment and tools.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials for defects and errors.
• Estimate sizes, times, costs, and resources needed for work activities.
• Ensure subordinate work complies with contract plans and specifications.
