Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH Company, is seeking a general laborer to support plant operations at our Massillon, Ohio facility. You will assist the foreperson, operate heavy equipment, and help maintain the plant.

This role requires safety awareness, ability to travel if needed, and willingness to work nights and weekends. A high school diploma or GED and some related experience are acceptable; training will be provided to operate loaders and perform welding as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the plant foreperson with daily operations and upkeep of the plant.
• Operate heavy equipment safely, including frontend loader and skid steer loader.
• Perform general labor, shoveling, and assist crew members as needed.
• May perform welding and fabrication duties as required.
• Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
• Follow directions and adhere to OSHA/MSHA regulations.
