Job summary

Allegheny Contracting, LLC seeks an Equipment Maintenance Coordinator to create and manage maintenance schedules for a diverse equipment fleet, including excavators, skid steers, loaders, and trucks. You will track repair history and active work orders in our CMMS, ensuring safety standards and timely completion.

The role requires diagnosing complex mechanical issues, coordinating with vendors and project managers, and handling after-hours emergencies with minimal supervision. CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License (CDL a plus) and able to meet company driver eligibility standards.
• Experience with diesel/gas engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, fleet management software, and work order databases.
• Strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills, problem solving abilities, and able to manage stress in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Build daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance schedules for assets.
• Track repair history and active work orders using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Ensure work orders meet safety standards and are completed timely.
• Maintain inventory of parts and fluids through regular checks and approved vendors.
• Coordinate with project managers to align equipment downtime with construction schedules.
• Assist with onsite mechanical repairs as needed.
• Handle emergency calls and dispatch mechanics as required.
