Francis O. Day Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to support paving and excavation operations.

This role focuses on planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance for heavy construction equipment such as asphalt pavers, milling machines, skid steers, dozers, and loaders. The ideal candidate has 2–4+ years in heavy equipment maintenance planning, strong knowledge of equipment, and CMMS experience.

Formación

• 2 - 4+ years of maintenance planning or scheduling experience in a heavy equipment or diesel maintenance environment.
• Strong understanding of heavy construction equipment (pavers, milling machines, loaders, dozers, skid steers, rollers).
• Prior experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, or shop lead is preferred.
• Ability to visualize and plan complex equipment repairs involving hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, and wear components.
• Experience using CMMS software (E360 or similar).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills with mechanics, supervisors, vendors, and contractors.
• Ability to lead through influence and work cross-functionally with operations and maintenance teams.
• Willingness to embrace continuous improvement and process standardization.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for heavy equipment and mobile assets.
• Create detailed job plans including labor, skills, duration, safety, tools, parts, and external services.
• Develop job plans for diesel-powered and hydraulically driven equipment.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders, backlog, and equipment history.
• Create maintenance schedules aligned with production and paving timelines.
• Coordinate downtime with operations to ensure equipment availability.
• Support and improve the Preventive Maintenance program for fleets.
• Collaborate with Equipment Managers and Mechanics to determine repair scope.
