Qualifications

• Prior experience as a diesel technician.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read manuals and use diagnostic equipment.
• Strong safety culture and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment diesel engines.
• Repair and replace components of frames, suspensions, drive trains, and electrical systems.
• Determine repair extent and prepare service orders.
• Tune engines and diagnose computer controls, modules, and A/C components.
• Fabricate parts and perform welding/brazing as needed.
• Complete documentation for work orders and time sheets.
