Yancey Bros. Co. in McDonough, GA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair diesel engines and related systems on Caterpillar equipment.

You will inspect, repair and tune engines, electrical and hydraulic components, and prepare thorough service documentation for timely completion. The ideal candidate will have diesel technician experience, be proficient with diagnostic tools and welding, and possess strong teamwork and safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Diesel technician experience required
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read manuals and follow instructions
• Ability to diagnose and repair using electrical and electronic components
• Ability to write service reports clearly

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose heavy equipment diesel engines and components
• Repair or replace engine, drive trains, electrical, steering, braking systems
• Determine extent of repairs and prepare service orders
• Tune engines and diagnose computer controls and A/C components
• Complete documentation and work orders accurately
