Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Diesel Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair customer equipment in the field. You will service diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with your own tools and required licenses, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

You will perform welding, fabricate parts, complete work orders, and maintain DOT paperwork while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, computer and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose, adjust and repair malfunctions with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics and technical procedures.
• Valid, active driver's license and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment diesels.
• Determine extent of necessary repairs and prepare service orders.
• Use diagnostic equipment and perform repairs on engines, hydraulics, A/C, suspensions, drive trains and electrical systems.
• Perform welding/brazing and fabricate parts; complete work orders and time sheets.
• Maintain DOT records and present equipment clean and ready for customer service.
