Job summary

Firstline Road is seeking a Heavy Duty Towing Operator to join our growing team. This is not a desk job; you’ll be active, solve problems, and deliver excellent customer service on roadside calls. You’ll respond to dispatch, perform towing and emergency road service, and inspect your truck daily.

The ideal candidate has an interest in automobile knowledge and can work well in a team environment, especially under pressure. Training and community-focused work culture are emphasized in Boise, Idaho.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy active work and be able to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Good communication with dispatch and customers.
• Interest in automobile knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls dispatched to you in a safe, timely manner and provide roadside assistance.
• Perform safe, damage-free towing and emergency road service.
• Perform minor roadside repairs (excluding highways) and heavy-duty towing of trucks and other large vehicles.
• Complete daily pre-shift inspections and maintain truck fuel, fluids and rigging inventory.
• Keep the storage yard safe, clean and organized and report damaged equipment.
• Adhere to safe driving practices and traffic laws, and communicate status/ETA accurately to dispatch.
• Conduct accident towing and scene clean-up as needed.
• Fulfill any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
