Job summary

BestDrive, a wholly owned subsidiary of Continental, is hiring Tire Service Technicians to support commercial fleets. You will dismount, mount, balance, and repair heavy-duty truck tires and perform related service on off-the-road equipment, following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Ability to work on a team and independently.
• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing with co-workers and management.

Responsibilities

• Mount/Dismount/Install tires & tire/wheel assemblies.
• Load/Unload tires on and off trucks.
• Repair tires.
• Follow procedures to inspect tires and wheels before and after service.
• Determine repairable tire conditions and perform repairs.
• Review work orders and discuss with supervisors.
• Document work performed accurately per policy.
• Operate heavy-duty tire service equipment and tools.
• Unbolt and re-bolt wheels using lug wrenches and power tools.
• Mount/dismount off-the-road tires including multi-piece rims.
• Perform emergency road service on nights/weekends on a rotating basis.
• Maintain assigned service vehicle and equipment.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements.
