Job summary
Performance Foodservice, a leading member of Performance Food Group, seeks an experienced diesel/heavy-duty technician in Massachusetts. You will diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units, performing preventative maintenance and road call services as needed.
The role requires 5–7 years of repair experience, a high school diploma, and strong troubleshooting skills. We offer a 4-day work week, competitive pay, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and benefits from day 1
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5-7 years of medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
- Experience with PMs, tire & wheel, air brakes, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet diesel equipment including tractors and trailers.
- Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and other critical components.
- Ensure roadworthiness licensing and registration.
- Document repairs and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
- Install and repair onboard computers.
- Train other employees.
