Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled heavy-duty truck technician in Massachusetts to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units, with road call duties as needed. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and thorough documentation of work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of medium/heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• 2+ years in A/C refrigeration.
• Experience with PMs, brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on diesel equipment and diagnose basic failures.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and replace parts as needed.
• Ensure roadworthiness licensing/registration.
• Document all repairs and maintenance in the system.
• Install and repair onboard computers and use hand/power tools.
• Train other employees.
