Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled diesel truck mechanic in Massachusetts to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefers. The role requires following state and federal trucking regulations and maintaining thorough work orders.

The job offers hourly pay and a $5,000 sign-on bonus, with a 4-day work week and benefits starting day one, including uniforms and boot allowances.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 5 - 7 Years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsabilités

• Complete preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and inspect components.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and replace parts as needed.
• Ensure roadworthy licensing and registration before operation.
• Document work orders and repairs in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install and repair onboard computers.
• Use hand tools safely and power tools for repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and battery checks.
• Train other employees.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
