DC Army National Guard seeks Horizontal Construction Engineer to operate bulldozers, roadgraders, and other heavy equipment for site preparation. You will level earth, clear areas, dig, and move materials to support roadways, airfields, and building projects.

Training includes Basic and Advanced Individual Training; you may earn specialized certifications. Benefits include paid training, tuition assistance, and health care options, with a regular drill-pay structure for part-time service.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Level earth for runways and roadbeds; clear, excavate, and dig construction sites.
• Place grade stakes and cut/spread fill material with scraper.
