Zusammenfassung

Independence Excavating is seeking a Traveling Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead and oversee multi-site heavy civil construction projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs, contracts, and purchase orders while interacting professionally with owners and project engineers.

This role reports to the Senior Project Manager and requires extensive travel. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in large commercial construction, strong organizational and leadership

Qualifikationen

• At least 5 years’ experience managing large commercial construction projects.
• Strong organizational skills to handle diverse tasks.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with owners and project engineers.
• Experience managing people, budgets, schedules, and quality across multiple sites.
• Competence in complete and accurate project take-offs and estimates.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.

Aufgaben

• Prepare, review, and return submittals for items to be manufactured or provided.
• Collaborate with Superintendent/Operations Manager on equipment and crew needs.
• Assemble job cost codes and regularly update them.
• Coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries for major items.
• Review and approve subcontractor/supplier estimates and invoices.
• Negotiate and coordinate all Extra Work Orders and CORs for scope changes.
• Monitor production and job cost vs. estimates to protect margins.
• Prepare monthly job cost/profit projections.
