Job summary

Branch is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee all engineering and technical aspects of projects, reporting to the Project Manager. You will support safety, documentation, plans and specifications, scheduling, budgeting, projections, and project closeout.

Extensive travel within western North Carolina is expected. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management, and a Master’s degree with two years of heavy civil NCDOT/large site construction experience is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering and technical aspects of projects, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Assist PM in defining budgets, schedules, and cost codes.
• Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications for compliance.
• Maintain logs (RFI, Change Order, Submittal) and materials books.
• Coordinate permits and ensure safety, quality control, and close-out activities.
