Job summary

Sonova USA Inc. is seeking a Hearing Care Coordinator in Oakland, CA. The HCC will work closely with clinical staff to provide quality care and service to patients, as well as assist with appointment scheduling and managing patient files.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, previous experience in healthcare, and strong communication skills. This position offers benefits like 401K with a company match and no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Prior experience or knowledge with hearing aids is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude.
• Place outbound calls to current and former patients for follow-up.
• Collect patient intake forms and maintain patient files/notes.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Complete benefit checks and authorize each patient’s insurance.
• Provide first-level support to patients and answer questions.
• Process repairs under the direct supervision of a licensed hearing care professional.
• Manage inventory and submit supply orders as needed.
• Assist with event planning and logistics for community outreach.

Professional verbal and written communication

Microsoft Office and Outlook experience

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

EMR/EHR experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate's degree preferred
