Job summary

Sonova's Elgin, IL location seeks a Hearing Care Coordinator to support clinical staff and patients by scheduling appointments and verifying benefits. You will assist with patient intake, process payments, and help with daily clinic operations to ensure high-quality care.

The role prioritizes professional communication, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork with Hearing Care Professionals. Healthcare and customer service experience is preferred; no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a health care environment preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Prior experience/knowledge with hearing aids is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude.
• Place outbound calls to schedule follow-ups and weekly evaluations.
• Collect patient intake forms and maintain files/notes.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Complete benefit checks and insurance authorizations.
• Provide first level support, check in/out, and collect payments.
• Process repairs under supervision of a licensed Hearing Care Professional.
• Prepare bank deposits and submit daily reports to finance.
• General sales knowledge for accessories and patient support.
• Process patient orders, verify pickup and input details into system.
• Clean and maintain equipment and instruments.
• Submit equipment and facility requests.
• General office duties, including cleaning.
• Manage inventory, stock, and submit supply orders as needed.
• Assist with planning and logistics for at least 1 community outreach event per month.
