Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive the architectural vision and lead high-stakes engineering across the FuzeRx platform. You will shape the target architecture for core B2B and consumer systems, guiding teams to deliver scalable, secure healthcare solutions.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will mentor staff, set engineering standards, collaborate with product and pharmacy operations, and ensure HIPAA/SOC2 compliance while delivering high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering and systems design.
• Experience with high-throughput, distributed B2B SaaS systems.

Responsibilities

• Define target architecture for core platforms and high-volume APIs.
• Mentor staff and elevate engineering culture with design reviews.
• Establish coding, testing, CI/CD and security standards.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to align goals.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure HIPAA/SOC2 compliance.
• Lead performance and reliability improvements across systems.
• Evaluate new tools and AWS services through POCs.
