Job summary

Fuze Health seeks a Principal Engineer to drive the technical vision across engineering, reporting to the VP of Engineering. You will shape architectures for FuzeRx and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant healthcare platforms.

You will mentor engineers, enforce standards, and collaborate with product, pharmacy operations, and security teams to deliver high-throughput, reliable systems in a regulated healthcare landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive, hands-on software engineering and systems design experience.
• Experience leading architectural paradigms in HealthTech or highly regulated environments.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech, Digital Pharmacy, or regulated healthcare environments.
• Advanced knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and EHR integrations.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for FuzeRx’s core platforms and drive high-volume API integrations.
• Mentor Staff/Senior/Mid-level engineers, enforce design reviews and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Pharmacy Operations to align architecture with business goals and clinical requirements.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure HIPAA/SOC2 compliance and data privacy by design.
• Spearhead performance, reliability, and database efficiency improvements in AWS and PostgreSQL.
