Job summary

Fuze Health seeks a Principal Engineer to drive the overall technical vision across our engineering org and guide multi-squad execution for high-scale pharmacy and care platforms.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will shape architecture, mentor senior engineers, and enforce design standards while partnering with product and operations to meet regulatory requirements and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering and systems design experience.
• Experience building and scaling distributed, high-throughput B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare data interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, NCPDP) and EHR integrations.
• Willingness to work in a regulated healthtech environment with HIPAA/SOC2 considerations.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for FuzeRx's core B2B and consumer platforms.
• Lead the design and implementation of high-volume API integrations and complex pharmacy fulfillment workflows.
• Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers; establish design reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Operations to align architecture with business goals.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure HIPAA/SOC2 compliance and data privacy across systems.
