Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm seeking a senior healthcare strategy professional in Miami, FL. You will lead teams through the full M&A lifecycle, performing due diligence, integration planning, and execution to drive value for healthcare clients.

You will analyze financial and operational data, develop value levers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, HR, IT, and analytics.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related healthcare fields (MHA/MPH) is required or highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and financial modeling/analysis experience is essential.
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills; familiarity with Visio, Tableau or Power BI, SQL, SPSS, and benchmarking is a plus.
• Eight or more years of healthcare consulting or healthcare operations experience.
• Experience with M&A transactions and/or healthcare operations is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required; able to work in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead clients and internal teams through the full M&A lifecycle including due diligence, carve-outs, and integration planning/execution.
• Collaborate with finance, HR, IT due diligence, analytics, and offshore teams on deals.
• Develop hypotheses around value levers in transactions using industry experience and client specifics.
• Conduct interviews with senior client and target stakeholders and analyze financial data for value creation.
• Support Day 1 planning, operating model definition, and transaction execution initiatives.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities via organizational redesign and eliminating redundant services.
• Improve client tracking tools and KPIs to quantify performance improvements.
• Manage engagement economics, budgeting, and timely billing; oversee project profitability.
• Engage with clients at executive levels to communicate updates and strategic initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff and lead project teams; build relationships to expand business scope.
