Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Director in Healthcare Industry Group to lead a team through complex M&A diligence, integrations and separations. You will own end-to-end delivery, oversee data gathering, modeling and client communications, and mentor junior staff while engaging with senior stakeholders.

The role focuses on performance improvement, cost optimization and finance operations within healthcare deals, with strong emphasis on analytics, KPI development and client impact.

Qualifications

• Eight years of healthcare consulting or healthcare operations experience.
• Experience with M&A transactions and/or healthcare operations.
• Ability to work under strict timelines in a high-pressure environment.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead clients and internal teams through the full M&A lifecycle, including due diligence and integration planning.
• Develop hypotheses around value levers based on industry experience.
• Conduct interviews with senior client and target stakeholders.
• Rapidly analyze financial and operational data to identify value opportunities.
• Support Day 1 planning, operating model definition and execution initiatives.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and redesign organizational structures.
• Improve client tracking tools and develop KPIs for performance.
• Manage engagement economics, budgeting, and timely billing.
• Engage with C-suite and board on challenges and strategic initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to proposal development.
