Premera Blue Cross in the United States is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to partner with IT and business teams to translate needs into actionable requirements, supporting delivery in an Agile environment. You will analyze processes, map data flows, and help ensure solutions meet regulatory and customer expectations.

The role emphasizes collaboration, testing support, and continuous improvement, with a hybrid on-site schedule in New Mexico.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 2 years of business systems analysis experience with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Agile delivery (Scrum and SAFe).
• Experience using SQL for data analysis, validation, or reporting.
• Knowledge of healthcare or health insurance processes.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Confluence, and Product Plan.
• Customer-focused with ability to align solutions to business needs.
• Hands-on with relational or cloud databases (SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with partners to document requirements as epics, features, and user stories.
• Analyze business processes to identify pain points and opportunities for efficiency through technology.
• Support testing activities, including UAT, and assist with test scenarios.
• Provide input on backlog priorities and sprint planning.
• Maintain knowledge of Premera systems, applications, and processes.
• Perform data analysis to validate requirements and support decision-making.
• Liaise between business and IT for new system implementations and enhancements.
