Job summary

Qualifications

• AA Degree in General Education or Business preferred.
• At least one year of staffing experience in the medical field.

Responsibilities

• Adapts well to changing routines; demonstrates flexibility in Nursing Staff and Department Leaders.
• Answers phone, refers calls to appropriate Nursing Staff member; types reports as needed.
• Coordinates daily schedules, assigning staff to appropriate department.
• Notifies Nursing Supervisor/Department Leader of staffing problems and/or finds solutions.
• Assists Department Leaders/Supervisors with vacation and holiday time requests after schedules are posted.
• Ensures that all staffing reports are prepared and directed to the appropriate departments.
• Demonstrates professional communication with ancillary departments to maintain efficiency.
• Maintains staff availability schedules and calls staff as changes are needed.
• Notifies Registry agencies for bookings; maintains registry binder and timesheets.
• Maintains contracts and rates with registries; reconciles registry accounts weekly.
• Reports unusual occurrences to appropriate leaders; assists House Supervisor as needed.
• Escalates issues to Nurse Staffing Office Manager, Nursing House Supervisor, and Nursing Leadership as necessary.

Education
