Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to coordinate patient scheduling across multiple departments, ensuring accurate demographics and insurance data. You will work with staff, physicians, and referral sources to streamline scheduling processes and improve access to care.

The role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with EMR systems such as EPIC is preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in medical office, call center, or customer service preferred (6 months).
• Associate degree or higher may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling for patients: appointments, procedures, exams.
• Schedule patients for physician visits and tests.
• Educate patients and offices on protocols, insurance, referrals, and testing criteria.
• Monitor department procedures and suggest improvements.
• Utilize scheduling and patient information software to enable access.
• Serve as a resource for staff, physicians, and referrals.
