Responsibilities

• Coordinate organized flow of patients through the department by accurately inputting surgical procedures and preference cards, and entering orders.
• Act as the primary departmental contact for admission processes and scheduling.
• Flag and escalate potential problems; assist in resolving issues.
• Handle high volumes of incoming/outgoing communications while delivering strong customer service.
• Maintain medical records, stat reports, data in databases, and run reports as required.
• Maintain office supplies and equipment at the unit.
• Assist in orienting new staff on scheduling and data collection processes.
• Provide unit coverage as needed.
