Job summary

Ochsner is seeking an experienced appointment scheduling coordinator to streamline access across departments. You will work with managers, directors, and end users to optimize Epic-based scheduling and reporting to regional leadership.

The role requires strong data analysis, excellent communication, and a patient-centered approach. You will produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports and ensure compliance with standards while supporting the Financial Services department.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in clerical operations in healthcare or related field.
• Technical knowledge of healthcare provider scheduling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with Windows applications and data entry.
• Ability to produce service availability analyses from data.

Responsibilities

• Assist managers with building a new department in Epic in a timely manner.
• Notify Epic team of department name and physicians who will be practicing in new department.
• Timely processes provider and ancillary schedules to allow optimum access for appointment coordinators.
• Meets with managers, directors, and providers as needed to assist with modification and support of current practices to accommodate their need and patient needs.
• Notifies the manager/director of any patients affected by departure so they may be moved to another provider's schedule.
• Other related duties as required.
