Job summary

CenterWell Referral Coordinator/HIMS in Richardson, TX, schedules and pre-registers patients for exams and procedures with outside specialists, performing varied administrative tasks in a patient-facing role.

You will gather and share prep instructions with patients and referring providers, following policy with discretion, while supporting the TB screening program and related workflows.

Qualifications

• You will have 2 years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.

The Referral Coordinator/HIMS schedules and pre-registers patients for exams and procedures with specialists and providers outside of the primary care physician’s office. The Referral Coordinator/HIMS performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Perform computations. Typical work on semi-routine assignments.

The Referral Coordinator gathers and communicates all relative information and preparation instructions to patient and referring providers. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing. Follow standard policies that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and independent discretion.

Care Center is located at 1332 S Plano Rd, Suite 550, Richardson, TX 75081

You will report to the Supervisor, Medical Referrals.

Required Qualifications

• You will have 2 years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting
• You will be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• You will be proficient with medical terminology
• You will have experience with Electronic Medical Records

Preferred Qualifications

• You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration
• You will be bilingual English/Spanish
• You will have knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding
• You will have Referral experience

Additional Information:

This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$40,000 - $52,300 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
