Job summary

QuarterLine, a Planned Systems International company, seeks a Referral Management Center Specialist to support our healthcare team at a Military Treatment Facility. You will assist patients and staff with referrals and coordinate appointments with care and confidentiality.

Ideal candidates have medical terminology knowledge, 1 year of healthcare admin experience, and strong English skills to communicate clearly with patients and providers.

Qualifications

• US Citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• 1 year of administrative experience in a medical setting.
• Reading, writing, speaking and understanding English fluently.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security access.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and assist patients and staff with referral questions.
• Review and process referrals for completeness and eligibility.
• Schedule and reschedule specialty appointments per guidelines.
• Process referrals within established timeframes.
• Coordinate referrals with outside providers or insurers when needed.
• Maintain accurate referral documentation in required systems.
• Educate patients on referral procedures and timelines.
• Provide courteous service while protecting patient confidentiality.
