Job summary

QuarterLine is seeking a Referral Management Center Specialist to support our healthcare team at a Military Treatment Facility. You will provide professional customer service while assisting patients and staff with referral and appointment coordination.

Responsibilities include handling referrals, scheduling, educating patients, and maintaining accurate documentation in MHS GENESIS, with emphasis on confidentiality and timely processing in a military environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• 1 year of administrative experience in a medical setting; referral management or scheduling is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and keyboarding for EHR workflow.
• Fluent in reading, writing, speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and assist patients and staff with referral questions.
• Review and process referrals for completeness and eligibility.
• Schedule and reschedule specialty appointments per MTF guidelines.
• Process referrals within established timeframes.
• Coordinate referrals with outside providers or insurance when services are unavailable at the MTF.
• Maintain referral documentation in MHS GENESIS and required systems.
• Educate patients on referral procedures and timelines.
• Provide professional, confidential customer service.
