Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee operations of one or more practice sites in Illinois. You will supervise clinical and administrative staff, manage scheduling, budgeting, and data flow to the Central Office, while ensuring patient access and high service levels.

Required are a Bachelor's degree and healthcare experience, with emphasis on organizational leadership and analytical skills to drive efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2 years health care experience
• Experience working within a clinical environment
• Outpatient setting experience
• Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Manage front-line non-exempt staff, including hiring, training, discipline, and performance reviews.
• Schedule staff and allocate resources to maximize patient access and efficiency.
• Handle supply purchasing within budget using online ordering system.
• Report monthly productivity to providers and staff.
• Ensure accurate data collection and flow of information to Central Office.
• Oversee cash management: co-pays, balances, and deposits to influence profitability.
• Participate in corporate committees and task forces.
• Provide financial analysis for planning and cash flow; explain variances.
• Communicate budget and variance info to staff.
• Understand job functions to identify training opportunities.
• Set priorities and timelines to optimize resources and workspace.
• Work with senior management to set goals and provide feedback.
