Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support daily patient operations in a fast-paced outpatient clinic in Baltimore, MD. You will handle patient check-in/check-out, registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling to ensure a seamless patient experience.

The role is fully onsite, with a 6-month contract-to-hire arrangement. A minimum of 2 years in healthcare front desk or related roles is preferred, along with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years in healthcare customer service or front desk roles.
• Experience with patient registration and insurance verification.
• Experience handling high-volume calls and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check them in/out with courtesy.
• Register new or returning patients ensuring accurate data.
• Verify insurance eligibility and update records as needed.
• Answer calls and assist with patient inquiries.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, coordinating with providers.
• Maintain patient information in the EMR system.
• Support medical records and administrative tasks as required.
