Job summary

Cardinal Health in Memphis, TN is offering a Summer Internship Program for undergraduates entering their senior year. The Operations Intern role focuses on analyzing processes, improving warehouse operations, and delivering measurable productivity gains over a 10–12 week period.

You’ll gain hands-on project exposure, participate in mentoring, and have opportunities to interview for full-time roles after successful completion.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field; graduation in 2027–2028 preferred.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and improvement techniques (Lean Six Sigma or similar) preferred.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and handling operational tasks.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Participation in extracurricular activities or professional associations preferred.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required

Responsibilities

• As an Operations Intern, support site leaders to analyze and improve processes.
• Document and present solutions to leadership to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Develop, optimize, measure, and maintain performance and productivity.
• Assist and collaborate with functional teams such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and more.
• Help manage daily warehouse operations and improve workflow.
• Exposure to order processing, quality checks, and pallet building/shipping.
• Cross-train across warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Analyze KPIs and design workflows to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Develop reporting and data visualization capabilities to analyze metrics.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work on the warehouse floor daily to observe, support, and improve processes
