Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is offering a 10-12 week Summer Internship Program for undergraduate students entering their senior year. The role focuses on real-world warehouse and supply chain projects in Waukegan, Illinois, with a May 17 or May 24, 2027 start date and approximately 40 hours per week.

Interns collaborate with professionals, participate in mentoring, attending workshops, and have opportunities to interview for full-time roles upon completion.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field; graduation window 2027–2028.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes.
• Document and present solutions to site leadership to improve efficiency and cost.
• Develop, optimize, measure, and maintain performance and productivity.
• Assist in daily warehouse operations across receiving, picking, packing, shipping, etc.
• Cross-train in multiple areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Analyze KPI data and design workflows for operational effectiveness.
• Develop reporting capabilities and data visualization for metrics.
