Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. in Madison, Mississippi invites undergraduates to join our Summer Internship Program as Operations Interns. You’ll tackle meaningful, business-critical projects, participate in a mentoring program, and present your work to leaders at the end of the summer.

Expect about 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, with start dates May 17 or May 24, 2027. You’ll collaborate across receiving, packing, shipping, and warehouse operations while building process improvement and KPI analysis

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field; expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills.
• Participation in extracurricular activities or professional associations.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge or related improvement techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes.
• Document and present solutions to site leadership to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Develop, optimize, measure, and maintain performance and productivity.
• Assist and collaborate with leaders in receiving, packing, shipping, and warehouse operations.
• Assist in management of daily warehouse operations and productivity improvements.
• Analyze KPI data and design workflows to improve operational effectiveness.
• Work on the warehouse floor daily to observe, support, and improve processes.
