Job summary

Cardinal Health, Swedesboro, New Jersey, offers a 10-12 week Operations Internship designed for undergraduates entering their senior year. Interns work on real, business-critical projects, develop leadership skills, and network with leaders across the company.

Start dates May 17 or 24, 2027, with about 40 hours per week and potential full-time interview opportunities after completion. Participants gain exposure to warehouse operations, cross-training, KPI analytics, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, preferred
• Expected graduation window Dec 2027–Jun 2028, preferred
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and Lean Six Sigma or other improvement techniques, preferred
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes
• Document and present solutions to site leadership to improve efficiency, consistency and cost effectiveness
• Develop, optimize, measure, and maintain performance and productivity
• Assist and collaborate with leaders in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc.
• Assist in the management of daily warehouse operations, optimizing workflow and increasing productivity
• Exposure to processing orders including accurate picking, quality checks, sorting, consolidating freight, pallets, packing, loading, and shipment preparation
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participation in projects as needed
• Analyze existing KPI and design/workflows to ensure operational effectiveness
• Identify and develop reporting capabilities and data visualization tools to analyze metrics
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work directly on the warehouse floor daily to observe and improve processes
