Baystate Health in Springfield, MA seeks a Part Time Operations Associate/Cardiac Monitor Technician to support unit operations, bed management, and telemetry monitoring. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, cross-department communication, and patient throughput coordination.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1-2 years in healthcare customer service, and basic medical administrative experience. EKG training is a plus and weekend/holiday rotation is expected.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• 1-2 years experience in customer service (healthcare setting preferred).
• Medical administrative experience strongly preferred.
• Prior EKG training a huge plus!
• Ability to work rotating days, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to multitask.
• Computer literate.

Responsabilités

• Bed Management: track, prioritize, and assign beds; coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Use computer applications (OA Gold, CIS, Premise, BMD, Kronos, etc.) in daily work.
• Participate in unit projects and payroll/ scheduling tasks.
• Communicate with staff and departments; relay messages accurately.
• Serve as unit-based resource for Hospitalists and teaching teams.
• Observe and document cardiac monitor activity and ensure monitoring equipment is maintained.
