Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is recruiting for an administrative operations leader in Indiana. You will oversee the facility's business office, HR, medical records, admissions, billing and payroll, ensuring efficient and compliant processes.

Responsibilities include supervising non-medical staff, coordinating with billing and vendors, and partnering with clinical leadership to optimize flow and utilization of the surgery center.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher; Bachelors preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a medically-related environment; surgery center a plus.
• Supervisory experience of non-medical staff required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient admissions, scheduling and medical office operations desired.
• Understanding of insurance processes and verification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Business Office team to ensure smooth operations.
• Supervise non-medical staff; provide orientation, coaching and evaluations.
• Oversee human resources procedures.
• Act as backup to business office teammates.
• Ensure timely and accurate administrative and accounting procedures; monitor reports.
• Manage office supplies/equipment; liaise with building maintenance.
• Negotiate with billing company and maintenance vendors.
• Process payroll and forward to corporate for processing.
• Collaborate with Clinical Director to optimize center operations.
