Job summary

SCA Health is hiring for an operations-focused Business Office Supervisor to support a bustling ambulatory center network. The role emphasizes supervising non-medical staff, coordinating office functions, and ensuring accurate billing, payroll and contract administration.

Qualified candidates bring an associate degree or higher, 5 years in a medical setting, HR procedure knowledge, and strong communication skills. Prior surgery-center experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years in a medically-related environment; surgery center experience a plus.
• Experience supervising non-medical teammates and HR procedures.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and patient admissions.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and medical billing software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Business Office team to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
• Direct supervision of non-medical staff; onboarding, coaching and evaluations.
• Oversee human resources procedures and payroll-related tasks.
• Act as working manager; back up for all business office teammates.
• Ensure timely, accurate administrative and accounting procedures.
• Liaise with billing, maintenance and housekeeping contractors.
• Promote efficient flow of operations in partnership with Clinical Director and Administrator.

Associate degree

Bachelor's degree preferred

Medical terminology knowledge

Experience with patient admissions, scheduling, medical office operations
