Job summary

Signature HealthCARE seeks a Learning Experience Designer to lead academies, simulations, and enterprise learning experiences that help caregivers and leaders improve performance in post-acute care. The role is hands-on, owning projects end to end from needs analysis through launch and measurement at our Louisville corporate office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, learning technologies, education, organizational development, or a related field.
• 7+ years designing and developing learning in corporate, healthcare, leadership development, or similarly complex environments.
• Portfolio showing leadership development, simulation, scenario-based, or gamified learning with analysis, design rationale, and results.
• Proven success influencing executives and senior stakeholders, including presenting recommendations and managing expectations.
• Fluency in modern design methods (ADDIE, SAM/agile, design thinking, action mapping, performance consulting).
• Working knowledge of learning science and complex-skill design (retrieval and spacing, cognitive load, Merrill’s First Principles).
• Strong writing, storytelling, visual design, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Hands-on expertise with modern authoring and AI-enabled production tools.
• Experience designing blended programs (eLearning, instructor-led, virtual, simulation, microlearning, video, performance support).
• Strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full design cycle, from needs analysis through pilot and iteration.
• Design realistic simulations and scenarios where learners practice real decisions and get feedback.
• Shape leadership curricula aligned to our capability framework, values, and priorities.
• Produce with AI-enabled technology including AI-enabled authoring, video, avatar, and voice tools.
• Measure impact with evaluation strategies (Kirkpatrick, Phillips, LTEM).
• Build blended assets (eLearning, microlearning, video, facilitator guides, case studies, and job aids).
