Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations and staff while ensuring safety and sanitation across the facility. You will guide meal preparation according to corporate programs and guidelines, bringing energy and entrepreneurial culinary leadership to the team.

The role emphasizes high-volume culinary management, staff training, and adherence to quality, cost controls, and presentations consistent with company standards.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences.
• Hands-on chef experience a must.
• Knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation and presentation.
• Experience with computers; Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling and sanitation.
• Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies.
• Decides on utilization of leftover food within company guidelines.
• Complies with health, sanitation regulations and audits.
• Follows safety policies and procedures.
• Participates in departmental meetings and staff development.
