Job summary

InterCare is seeking a Full-Time IT Support Specialist to join our Community Health Network in Bangor, MI. You will provide advanced technical support, manage Active Directory, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365, and assist with EHR-related IT projects to support high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, conducting security audits, coordinating with vendors, and training staff across clinics.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of IT support or system administration experience.
• Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues escalated from entry-level staff.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory.
• Administer email systems (Microsoft 365) and ensure secure configurations.
• Monitor and maintain LAN, Wi‑Fi, and VPN connections.
• Assist with server maintenance, backups, and patch management.
• Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Conduct periodic audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, EHR implementations, and hardware refreshes.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement and technical support.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.
• Generate reports on system performance and security compliance.
• Provide guidance and training to entry-level IT staff.
• Conduct user training sessions on new technologies and security best practices.
